Zoho One rebuild for a building-products retailer
An Australian building-products retailer with two brands
An online shop that can't oversell stock, a checkout that turns bulky orders into freight quotes, trade accounts that verify themselves, and a lead pipeline that works on a phone.
The problem
The business had run Zoho CRM, Inventory and Books for eight years with almost no automation. It was launching a new product line, expanding delivery along the east coast, and needed an online shop that agreed with its stock.
The work began with a paid design task and a 218-hour, four-phase plan. With the client in Brisbane, I worked through the UK day and sent a written summary each evening for them to review the next morning.

What I built
- A Zoho Commerce shop with Zoho Inventory as the single source of stock, so overselling is impossible
- A checkout that sends any order with bulky items to a freight quote, which becomes an order and invoice once the customer accepts
- Trade account applications checked automatically against the Australian Business Register, with doubtful cases sent for review
- Eight years of data split into two brands, with around 220 SKUs rationalised under one naming scheme
- A 10-stage lead pipeline that fits how the team already worked, with each step needing three fields at most on a phone
- Order handling that is safe to retry, plus a nightly check that Inventory, Commerce and Books agree
Went live with a cutover runsheet and a 48-hour rollback plan, then handed over a build specification and a mobile guide for the sales team.
